บทคัดย่อ (Abstract)

The objectives of this study are two-fold : 1) To investigate the readiness criteria of using ICT for instruction and administration in Institute of Physical Education; and 2) To examine satisfaction towards such use of ICT by total 288 administrators, teachers, education personnel, and chiefs of ICT Center in the Institute of Physical Education of all 17 Education Areas, regarding 5 aspects of personnel, equipment, program, budget, and facilities. The current study employed inventory and questionnaire of 5-point-rating scale type to examine satisfaction toward the use of ICT. Data analysis adopted computerized analytical package to obtain frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

Results suggested that:

The use of ICT for instruction and administration in the Institute of Physical Education requires 5 aspects of readiness. Personnel: Chief of ICT Center should possess suitable educational background and personal qualification; operation and maintenance assistants should be available in the center; ICT capacity building should also be provided for Institute’s personnel. Equipment: Arrangement of computers, printers, and networks should be ready for common use, with internet access for the whole institute; a variety of media devices are also available for ICT assisted instructional management. Program: Relevant programs should be developed to facilitate modern, speedy, and authentic instruction and administration. Budget: Annual budget is to be allocated for ICT development and maintenance. Facilities: ICT Center is tangibly well equipped for actual services, with supervision and control for administration and instruction. Finally, the finding revealed moderate level of personnel’s satisfaction toward the use of ICT in administration and instruction.
